how about making a short note for every day he'll be gone. On the outside of the envelope you could put day #1 (or the date of that day) start it with today no matter what i did i missed your smile, your laugh what ever . you could put pics of you guys at things you did together with notes like remember this day. I'm looking at this pic today too thinking of you etc. hope you got something out of that.
