The dental hygienist kept suctioning my tongue during my filling... now it hurts!!!?

Should I say something to the dentist? My mouth was so numb, I couldn't feel it, but heard her suction my tongue.. she even suctioned the underside. Now my tongue is super sore. Should I say something? I'm going back Monday for more work. I don't want my tongue suctioned again so soon.. it hurts.
