Can I get away with not shaving my armpits at a non profit youth job all summer?

I am a feminine woman who works with teens at a non-profit in NYC. My significant other likes my armpits unshaven and many of my female friends/women in my community also do not shave. I am interested in not shaving as well in part for political reasons. I am not sure if I can get away with it though since I work in an office, even if it is a progressive setting setting. I typically wear short-sleeved shirts (not tank tops) but it can still at times be visible. I have not shaven recently and the weather is just starting to get warm.. I am also debating not shaving my legs but it is less important to me I think . Has anyone had any experiences with this sort of thing? How did it go for you?
